On March 24, 2021, the International Business and Entrepreneurship Signature Academic Program hosted its 7th Annual Business Plan Showcase. Students competed in classroom competitions, presenting business plans that covered a wide spectrum of problems and opportunities. For the second-straight year, final rounds took place virtually as three teams battled to the finish. Each team was given nine minutes to make their pitch, followed by six minutes for a Q&A with six judges.
The winning team of Bailey Quintero ’22 and Alexander Schuetz ’22 created Honu Pro Sport, a surfing wetsuit with an integrated water pouch to help surfers avoid dehydration.
In second place was Emily Aparicio ’23, Erick Delgado ’22, and Milo Suarez ’22, for Pack Sensei, their creation of a drop-box for home deliveries that couriers can lock and unlock in order to safely leave packages at their locations.
CH Pillow took third place, as Hannah Lovera ’23 and Gui Figueredo ’22 pitched a smart pillow that allows for temperature control.
