Upper School athletes from softball, baseball, dance, and football were treated to an unforgettable visit from 14-time All-Star and two-time Gold Glove shortstop Alex Rodriguez. With a 22-year MLB career spanning the Seattle Mariners, Texas Rangers, and New York Yankees, Rodriguez shared invaluable lessons learned from a lifetime in professional sports. During his inspiring talk, he emphasized the importance of developing a championship mentality—one that goes far beyond physical talent. He highlighted the critical roles of mental resilience, proper nutrition, and quality sleep in achieving peak performance, as well as the value of strong practice routines and consistent habits that shape success both on the field and in life.

Rodriguez also emphasized the power of friendship and social circles, recognizing that the right influences can elevate their success, while the wrong ones can hold them back. As he put it, Find five people that you admire, and learn from them. You become an average of the five people that you surround yourself with.” He also reminded them that their presence matters, When you walk into a room, you can brighten the room, or dim the room. Which one do you want to be?” Above all, he stressed that character and integrity—both on and off the field—are the true measures of lasting success.

A special thank you to our parents who generously share their expertise with our students, helping to inspire and guide them in their athletic and personal growth. Your support makes all the difference!
