The 2024-25 Middle School Winter Sports season was nothing short of outstanding for our Raiders, showcasing exceptional teamwork, growth, and determination across multiple sports. On and off the field, our Raiders showed commitment to their studies as well as their talent.
Boys Varsity Soccer dominated their season, finishing as South Florida Middle School Conference Champions for the second consecutive year. Coach Miranda praised the team’s unity, calling them a “family” both on and off the field. Their undefeated record and dedication in the classroom made this season truly special! Combined team grade average: 90.1
The Boys JV Soccer team also had a stellar season, boasting a 70% win rate and a perfect home-field record. Head Coach Diego highlighted the squad’s resilience saying, “It has been a pleasure and I am grateful to have coached this young group of student-athletes this season. This team proved to be very strong, both mentally and physically and proved to have great determination. There’s a great camaraderie around this group. My hope is that our Raiders continue to train and stay involved with this sport, and to see them next season.” Combined team grade average: 92.01
On the girls’ side, the Girls Varsity Soccer team finished the season as the #2 seed Conference Semfinalist, with standout performances led by 8th grade captain Ava Gabay, who earned MVP honors. The Girls JV Soccer team continued to show growth, with players developing their skills and leadership, setting the stage for a bright future in the program. Combined team grade average: 92.84/93.59
Boys Varsity Basketball capped off their season as the South Florida Conference Consolation Champions, riding a thrilling three-game win streak. Their grit and determination were on full display, with standout performances from Sam Davis and Hunter Bailey. Coach Browne believes this team is paving the way for the next generation of basketball stars. Combined team grade average: 90.09/92.58 JV
The Girls Basketball team had an unforgettable season, finishing as Conference Champions. Their dominant performances, including a 40-point opening victory and a decisive 20-point win in the Championship, were fueled by strong leadership from 8th graders and the contributions of 7th and 6th graders alike. With their relentless energy and commitment to “Gulliver Grit,” this team has set the bar for the future of Girls’ Basketball at Gulliver. Combined team grade average: 91.71
Finally, the Cheerleading squad brought Raider Pride to every game, showing immense spirit and enthusiasm. With their eyes set on defending their title, they’re preparing for the US National Cheerleading Championships, aiming for a 4th consecutive win. Combined team grade average: 93.71
