Throughout November and December, JK students embarked on a culture study where they learned about people from all around the world, bringing diversity into the classroom.
The students were introduced to varying traditions, holidays, foods, languages, and traditional clothing. This year, they were able to connect via Zoom with people from Canada, England, Scotland, Spain, and more!
“In connection with our commitment to diversity, learning about different cultures that may be different from our own, helps develop empathy and broadens our learning horizons,” said Ms. Cristina Torres, Primary School Faculty.
Teachers and students sent videos back to their guests to say thank you and teach them about some of the interesting things we know about Miami and America.
