Celebrating Linde Barrett: Recipient of the University of Chicago’s Outstanding Educator Award
We are proud to announce that Linde Barrett, an exceptional International Baccalaureate (IB) Inquiry Research Design teacher, has been honored with the University of Chicago’s Outstanding Educator Award. This recognition comes from students accepted into the Class of 2028, who nominated educators who significantly impacted their academic journeys. Linde’s dedication to fostering intellectual curiosity and her commitment to global education truly set her apart in a competitive field.
Linde’s passion for international exploration is evident in her recent initiatives. Last year, she led a group of IB students to Vietnam, where they engaged in local culture and community service projects. This transformative experience inspired Linde to take on a new challenge: she has been selected for a 10-month fellowship with the U.S. Department of State in Algeria, where she will serve as a cultural ambassador, teaching English to Algerian ministries and journalists. As she prepares for this adventure, Linde reflects on how the rigorous training she received through the IB Program at Gulliver has equipped her with the skills necessary for this role.
As we celebrate Linde’s achievements, we also encourage you to read more about her impactful work in the Raider Voice article, which covers her journey and her efforts to promote cultural understanding.
