Cindy Gonzalez Recognized as Businesswoman of the Year Finalist
Last week, Cindy Gonzalez, Primary and Lower School Technology Faculty, was recognized as a finalist in the educator category at the 2020 Businesswomen of the Year Awards Luncheon.
Each year, the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce honors professional women in our community who make a difference every day, achieve excellence in their pursuits, and serve as role models for others.
Ms. Gonzalez has devoted over 20 years to her career in education technology at Gulliver Academy. Each day, she continues to inspire students to explore technology through coding, computer science, robotics, broadcasting, and video production.
Ms. Gonzalez actively promotes the integration of the computer science curriculum in kindergarten through third-grade classrooms. Her technology innovation skill set has brought a variety of events and activities to Gulliver, which include 21st-century learning skills such as robotics and coding. Not only has she been recognized at the school for her skill and passion, but companies that design some of the robotics products that she uses have also highlighted her work in different publications. She is an active volunteer with PAWS4you Rescue, a local animal rescue organization, and this Spring, she will organize Gulliver Academy’s annual May the 4th event.
