Our Digital Mass Media students are making waves on the national stage, excelling in everything from writing and digital design to broadcasting, storytelling, and news reporting.

The Raider Student Network, at the middle school level, is off to an impressive start this year. Their episode of Beyond the G earned a prestigious Gold rating at the state level. In November, students participated in the Student Television Network’s (STN) national competition, the STN Challenge, where they were given specific prompts and just three days to produce high-quality content. Several of their pieces earned top honors, securing 2nd place in their respective categories:

Jack Gomberg, Hendrix Millstein, Dominic Price, and Karter Lowry
Jack Gomberg, Matthew Thorton, and Stefano Stiglitz
Arielle Tzur and Ava Nullman

In addition to these achievements, the 2024 Middle School Yearbook, Loud & Clear, has earned a prestigious Crown finalist nod from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA), one of only nine middle schools nationwide to receive this honor. The yearbook also received All-Florida recognition from the Florida Scholastic Press Association (FSPA) and All-American honors with Five Marks of Distinction from the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA).

The Middle School Digital Mass Media Program is proudly led by Christina Salup, with the support of Catie Schwartzman and Rick Funes. Their dedication continues to inspire and shape the next generation of media professionals.
