Our Upper School Digital Mass Media students continue to shine on the national stage, earning prestigious recognition across multiple categories and reinforcing their reputation for excellence in student-driven media.

The Broadcast team achieved a remarkable milestone, winning an NSPA Pacemaker Award for their outstanding performance in the production of the 2023-24 season of Raider 305. This honor is one of the highest distinctions in student broadcast media and highlights the team’s exceptional creativity, technical skill, and storytelling. Additionally, the 2024 edition of the Raider Yearbook, titled Onto Something Big, was named both an NSPA Pacemaker Finalist and a CSPA Crown Award Finalist – making Gulliver only one of two schools in the nation to receive both honors. These prestigious accolades are among the most coveted in scholastic journalism, recognizing overall excellence in high school publications and digital media nationwide.

In addition to these exceptional achievements, members of the Multimedia and Broadcast classes showcased their talents at the highly competitive Student Television Network (STN) Challenge national competition. Chris Sanchez ’25 and Dylan Biondo ’27 earned first place with their thought-provoking commentary piece, “Participation Trophies in Competition?”, sparking important discussions on modern societal trends. Meanwhile, the Raider Voice podcast, produced by seniors Tommy Thornton, Kate Caballero, Otto Hellmund, and Marianne Arana, claimed third place nationally for their insightful episode, Surviving High School: Beyond the Books. Their work highlights the depth of thought and innovation that defines our students’ approach to digital media production.
