The 2019 edition of the Upper School’s Reflections Literary Magazine has earned a CSPA Silver Crown Award, the first Crown Award for the literary magazine. It marks the fifth time a Gulliver Prep student publication has earned this prestigious recognition, joining the Raider Voice news website and three-time honoree, The Raider Yearbook.

Led by Editorial Board members Olivia Martin Johnson ’21, Lucie Duchene ’21, Kathleen Lewis ’21, Teresa Ariza ’21, and Kate Perez ’21, the 2019 edition of Reflections also earned All-Florida recognition with Special Distinctions in Writing and Design, and is a CSPA Gold Medalist, receiving All-Columbian honors in the Verbal and Design categories.

The 2020 lit mag, “Rise,” which was inspired by current events, with many students submitting pieces they wrote while experiencing quarantine and social distancing, was recently named a CSPA Crown Finalist, making it two years in a row that the student publication will receive a Crown Award and pushing Gulliver’s total to six Crown Awards. “Rise” has already earned All American and All Florida recognition, to-date.
