2022 Progress Summary
By developing a curriculum that is both challenging and engaging, we are helping to ensure that all of our students are prepared for the future. Additionally, we are providing professional development opportunities for all faculty members to help them stay up-to-date on the latest educational practices and strategies. We support educators in constantly refining their understanding of how to engage students in learning; thus, growth in content, pedagogy, and information technology are integral components of the professional lives of Gulliver teachers.

Our Strategies
- Ensure that all students are known, heard, and empowered to design their own journeys
- Build character education curriculum and programming
- Complete the shift to a culture of health and well-being, including mental health, mindfulness, and self-care practices, for all members of our community
- Create additional opportunities to develop student responsibility and leadership
- Expand our definition of success to include the examination of grading/depth of knowledge/mastery, homework, and core course requirements

We believe that students must feel safe, accepted, and valued in order to reach their full potential. We work hard to create an environment where students are able to learn and grow in a supportive and nurturing environment, and are expanding our student leadership opportunities by giving students a greater voice and to engage them in decision-making.

- Prioritize investment in attracting, retaining, and developing high quality faculty and staff
- Strengthen international relationships and partnerships to elevate Gulliver’s reputation among families relocating from abroad to Miami

We continue to expand our community partnerships to ensure that our students have access to a variety of educational and enrichment opportunities. We are also increasing our faculty engagement by strengthening the relationships between teachers, students, and families. Additionally, we provide resources and programs that will help new families transition into our school and community.

Through philanthropy, we are able to create meaningful connections between our students and the community, and provide a platform to teach essential values such as generosity and kindness. We also understand that a quality learning environment can have a huge impact on student engagement and learning outcomes. With this in mind, we are actively working to create new learning spaces that foster collaboration, creativity, and innovation.
