We are thrilled to close out the school year with news of a leadership gift made to Transformation. Together. 2026. – Gulliver’s capital campaign.

Michalis and Alejandra Fernandez Stavrinides P ‘21 ‘22 ‘24 are longstanding members of the Gulliver community. Two of their sons, Lukas ‘21 and Dimitris ‘22, are young alumni, while Theo ‘24 is set to graduate this month. A current Trustee and Past Chair of the Board of Trustees, Michalis has seen firsthand the many facets of Gulliver’s growth as an institution.

There has been a remarkable transformation and evolution at Gulliver in the last 10-12 years and we are thrilled to have been a part of it and having our children live through a true Gulliver renaissance. It has been breathtaking to witness and experience: everything from the strength of the Gulliver community, the academic excellence, the success on and off the field, to the recent transformation of the school’s physical plant and facilities.

The Stavrinides FamilyThrough our capital campaign, we are building on our commitment to excellence by providing facilities that position Gulliver as a global leader in independent school education. The Stavrinides family recognizes that this work will help propel and perpetuate educational leadership and excellence, provide our faculty with the facilities and tools necessary to match their high-quality teaching, and allow for continuous growth, programming, and inquiry in a world that is evolving rapidly. It is in this spirit that the Stavrinides family chose to make Gulliver Prep their top philanthropic priority, making significant gifts to name the Stavrinides Family Collaboration Wing at the Center for Student Life, located at the Marian C. Krutulis PK-8 Campus, and the Stavrinides Family Collaboration Hub in the Academic Building, located at the Upper School Campus.

“We firmly believe in leading by example and we felt it was our responsibility to support the school in a meaningful way. We feel honored and grateful to have been on this journey which has left an indelible mark on our family, filled with wonderful memories, unforgettable moments, friends, old and new, laughter and tears, ups and downs – all of which form the fabric of our Gulliver experience and the foundation of our children’s education and future. Giving was our way of saying thank you to everyone who touched our lives and helped form our children’s foundation. Just as importantly, we wanted to help perpetuate Mrs. K’s legacy and make the Gulliver experience accessible and available to as many deserving students as possible.”
